The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Summer Series Book 1

Quick Overview
Belly measures her life
in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the
months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks
until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from
Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are
the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have
been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But
one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything
changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all
along.
What I Thought
This was a great read, especially for a hot, summer day. It really captures the mood of what every girl wishes
her summer to be like. I really like this book, but I will probably not
read all three unless they are at my library. The Summer I Turned Pretty was funny, sad, heart warming, and heart breaking, all wound into one novel. I would suggest it highly, and even though I wasn't as crazy about the Summer Series, I will definitely not stop when I go to pick up another one of Jenny Han's books.
This is like literally one of my favorite series! Each book just broke my heart more and more until Jenny finally gave me the happy-ish ending I craved so badly since book 2 began. I would definitely suggest picking up the rest if the series if you can find them. Unless you're not a fan of crying and getting all worked up and emotional while reading. Because these books made me cry my eyes out. Especially the third book. Nice review!

Thanks! I'm actually currently reading the second book right now. I'm not a fan of crying, but these books have me doing it and I can't stop reading them! I'll be doing a review of "It's Not Summer Without You" soon, and I would love it if you stopped back by to read it in the next week or so!

I did! I am currently doing a contest-thingy to pick which books I review next. It's Not Summer Without You and We'll Always Have Summer are on the list. You should vote for them!
