Review Policy

If you would would like to submit your book for Sitting With A Book to review, please read my review policy before sending an email. 

What kind of books do you accept for review?

I only accept books that fall under the Young Adult and Teen categories. I do not read series books out of order! If you would like me to read a book that is part of a series, I ask that you send me the the first books in the series as well. 

What formats do you accept?

I accept ARCs, galleys, and finished copies. I greatly prefer printed copies, but I also accept e-books in PDF and ePub format.

*Note* I am currently only accepting hard copies. If you only have e-copies, it wouldn't hurt to pitch your book to me, but the chances of me reviewing it are slim at the moment. Check back soon, though, my policy is always changing!

Do you accept self-published books?

Yes!  

Do you review short stories?

Yes, as long as they are YA.

What will I see in your reviews?

Each review will have the following components: 

Book Cover

Title

Author

Series

Publication Date

My Source (where I got the book from)

Number of Pages

Author Bio

Summary/Synopsis of the Book 

My Personal Thoughts of the Book 

A Rating on a 1-5 Scale

Book Trailer (if there is one)

Note: All Summaries/Synopsis are taken from Goodreads.com or Amazon.com

Where do you post your reviews?

I typically post my reviews on Goodreads. If you would like your review posted elsewhere, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request. 

When will your review be posted?

I am still in school, so my schedule is pretty busy. My blog does not have deadlines (unless I am taking part in a tour) so, please let me know in advance if you would like it to be published by a certain date. The average turn-around time for a review is 3-6 weeks.

What if you don't like the book?

My reviews are honest. If I did not like the book at all, I will say so. My acceptance, of a review copy does not guarantee a positive review. I will not post a review of a book if I cannot say anything positive about it. (This has never happened, and I highly doubt it ever will.) 

How do I submit a review request?

Please email me here! If I do not reply within 3 days, re-send it, because you have been spammed.

What other stuff do you post?

I am open to hosting guest posts, performing author interviews, and doing spotlights! I love to do giveaways, so I highly encourage you to donate a copy of your book to giveaway, along with the review to broaden the promotion!

Where are you based?
I live in the US, and most of my giveaways are US only, with the exception of e-books or if the author has offered to ship it INT.
