Spell Bound: Hex Hall Series Book Three by Rachel Hawkins
2 out of 5 stars
Quick Overview:
Just as Sophie Mercer has come to accept her extraordinary magical
powers as a demon, the Prodigium Council strips them away. Now Sophie is
defenseless, alone, and at the mercy of her sworn enemies—the
Brannicks, a family of warrior women who hunt down the Prodigium. Or at
least that’s what Sophie thinks, until she makes a surprising
discovery. The Brannicks know an epic war is coming, and they believe
Sophie is the only one powerful enough to stop the world from ending.
But without her magic, Sophie isn’t as confident.
What I Thought:
I didn't really like this book. The first book of the series was good, however, the next two seem to get less and less as, well... good, exciting, suspenseful, etc...
It seems to me that they are dragging these books out, whereas this book could have just been larger and the series could have been over. This book is filled with fluff. Plus there is a pattern forming. Sophie gets in trouble, something or someone saves her.
Overall I liked it, but not enough to go out and buy it for my own personal copy.
